Burner Alternatives.  Grill Body 1000 used burners with post controls, that is knobs down on the post below the cooking compartment.  Most had one knob to turn the gas on.  A few had two knobs.  Please select the correct burner by the number of knobs used to turn the gas on.  After that, you will need to select either the Stainless Steel Bow Tie Burner or the Cast Iron Bow Tie Burner depending on your preference.  The next four entries describe the choices.
DPP-1 The DPP1 stainless steel bow tie is discontinued by Broilmaster and no longer available. For 1000 series models, please use the WSB13 burner below.

Radiation Shield Alternatives. We now offer radiation shields made out of two different materials. Both will work on your model. The first shield, RSG, is made of galvanized steel. This is same material used in the original equipment shields. Broilmaster has now upgraded their radiation shields to stainless steel and we offer this option - RSGSTAINLESS. Please select the radiation shield you wish to order from the choices below.

Cook Grid Alternatives.  You have two choices for cook grids for the 1000 grill body: the more expensive factory set of 2 porcelain coated, cast iron grids or the alternative set of 2 porcelain coated, cast iron cook grids.  Even though there is a substantial price difference,  we feel the quality is comparable.  Both are made to fit the 1000 cooking compartment.  The factory set has a more flat surface than the alternative set with a rounded top surface.  Your two choices are described below.
Cast Iron
Cook Grids		 Broilmaster has discontinued the cook grid set for this grill. The factory equipment was two cast iron cook grids with a black matte finish. We are sold out and can find no more. Please refer to the next entry for the one piece chrome wire replacement.

in-stock		 Broilmaster has discontinued the cast iron cook grid set. We do have an exact fit, one piece chrome plated wire cook grid for this grill. Measurement is 13 3/4 by 20 inches. (CG6).

in-stock		 The original G1000 rock grate sat on the top of the burner.   To prolong the life of the burner and help it burn better,  Broilmaster has changed this rock grate and added legs.   The four legs go to the bottom of the casting and the rock grate sits a few inches above the burner.   We have sold it for years without problems.  Dimensions of the new-design rock grate is 11 1/2 inches front to back, 18 1/4 inches wide, with 5 3/8 inch legs.
